Arrival
The beige building sliding like a panorama into view
Of cream and honey, so the studio looked
Noticing the tall, slender, and graceful ballerinas
Awaiting and anticipating the moment the doors flew open
Remembering burgundy, soft, knee-length velvet skirts and black-of-night lace
Powdered cheeks and voluminous eyelashes
Ribbons, ribbons, and more ribbons
With ballet-pink slippers crafted from the finest silk
The black billows of music
Like smoke slithering out of a dragon's nose
The crushed chalk, spindeling and swirling out of the makeshift wooden box like spiderwebs
I remember as I perform an saute arabesque
Grace like silk
I remind
I am what I am. I am a tryhard Canadian who hopes to live in the northern, pine tree filled beauty. I am courageous, adventurous, and motivated. I am a petite brunette with hazel eyes who is a nature lover, yet can’t stand crabs. I am a speedy sprinter, but I cannot enjoy long distance. I am a beach hater and a mountain lover. I am a fanatic of pomegranate.
I am what I am. I am a future intensive care nurse. I am a dreamer, a future Canadian, and a girl who is vowing to do her best. I am one who does not know which college she wants to go to, but knows her goal. I am someone who loves to help people, no matter how simple the task is
"Waterfall"
Silver drops trickle
Waterfall is rushing hard
Crystal pools glisten
"Autumn"
The leaves are falling
Crisp and breezy atmosphere
So gracefully down
There is no rule
About what goes on before school
Dark and early at two thirty two
At noon my poems are due
I need to shut my eyes
So I will make a sacrifice
To pay the price
Of missed assignments twice
Isn’t it odd
That people with so much
Are treated with so little
And people with so little
Are treated with so much
Unlike the outward appeal
I do not see a good friend
Or a loving character
Or a beautiful heart
For there is only blindness.
Books. A spindling web of silk tragedy and depth. The black billows of wonder and thought.. the ability to determine one's present. Books. The nourishment they bring you, such change they inflict as they remain building one's life up like bricks, one by one, going completely unnoticed. Books. The knowledge and wisdom they bring, although seemingly a simple entertainment source is truly incomprehensible. Books.
